My First Mistake

@Baslowvania here! I setup this group....with the expectation that I would therefore "own" it and administer it. But I find that it now seems to exist outside my control. I tried to upload a picture to serve as an avatar but it seems I don't have permission! I will poke around to see if I can figure out a way to take control. As site administrator I have to power to delete it...but apparently no control more fine-grained than that, at the moment.

Learning curve!
It turns out that I ( @Baslowvania ) can control this group, edit its profile, and add an avatar...which I've now done. I made to mistakes:

I neglected to check off the box that would include it in my list of channels in my "identity menu" in the upper left. By default, new channels are not listed
I can only exercise my control if I access the channel through that menu or through my "Channels" page. I was accessing the page in a manner that did not confer full control
