Until More People Join
As of now I, @Baslowvania , am the only member of this group. Ulltimately, it's intended to primarily serve a dynamic function, permitting members to exchange information about how this place works and what it can be used for, Until more people join, however, I will be publishing posts in which I try to highlight aspects of this platform and how they might be used. Bear in mind that I don't really know what I'm doing and, thus, I may get things wrong.
That said, let's start exploring:
I'm still figuring out the relationship between my various channels. It turns out that you can access channels (or, at least, group channels) in more than one way. A previous post here was in the voice of @Baslowvania but appeared under the identity of @What Have I Gotten Myself Into? because how you can post depends on how you access the channel.
In this instance, rather than switching to the @What Have I Gotten Myself Into? channel I have visited it, and so remain @Baslowvania even as I post to this group.
I still don't fully understand it but I'm beginning to catch on.
All of this, of course, makes this platform more complicated to navigate and therefore harder to learn. But I think I see the possibility of building a very different sort of thing, what I am calling a community media platform rather than a social media platform, which will hopefully encourage a great deal more interaction, deliberation and ongoing support among its members.
